About Us

McCabe Homes is an Austin based home building company focused on surpassing client expectations.  Jonathan McCabe, Owner, insists on being hands –on throughout the entire building process to ensure the client’s needs are met with superior quality and value.
Jonathan McCabe grew up just outside of Houston in Richmond, TX.  Jonathan looks up to his father, Jim McCabe, and has always admired his entrepreneurial drive.  Jim started his own company, Sensible Technologies, over 20 years ago and remains successful in everything he does.  The entrepreneur spirit of his father laid the foundation for Jonathan to believe in his talents, and work hard for what he believes in.
Jonathan first became interested in the building process while building his first house with his wife Jennie.  “The process came naturally to me, and I knew right away that building custom homes was my passion.”  Jonathan worked his way into the industry working for a small builder which allowed him hands on experience in every aspect of the building process.  After several years of working side by side with his mentor, Jonathan had all the tools needed to branch out on his own.  Jonathan feels, that “the most important aspect of building a custom home is the client – builder relationship.  I want to make your dream come true.  To do this, I need to understand what makes you click.”  Jonathan prides himself on the integrity and honesty he shares with his clients resulting in impeccable customer service both during and after the building process.  Jonathan McCabe understands that his customers are his business, and completely satisfied customers are the key to having a successful business.  McCabe Homes’ ultimate goal is to provide quality and value both in the home and the relationship.

The Building Process

1.  Interview:  The first step in choosing a builder is a client – builder interview.  During this process, the client is encouraged to ask as may questions as possible.  The questions and answers are beneficial to the client and the builder in finding common ground to move toward the same goal.

2.  Land:  The second step is lot selection.  McCabe Homes has lots available for sale.  We can build on your lot, or we can find a lot with just the right attributes.

3.  Design:  Now it is time to meet with the architects.  This is the most exciting part because your dream becomes reality on paper.

4.    Financing:  Most

5.    Contract:  Here we formalize our agreement on time, cost, and selection.

6.    Build:  Hooray!  The building process usually last 4 to 8 months depending on the size and finish out of the house.
